Poets Against War was established in response to the 2003 invasion of Iraq by Coalition Forces. It was the voice of 11,000 American poets, speaking out against the impending Operation Shock and Awe, the ramifications of which are still being felt today. an enormous body of literature dedicated to the ravages of war.
